QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF)

Course  Aims

The aim of this qualification is to give learners the knowledge and skills required to prevent fire from starting and to effectively react to a fire incident.

This course helps the learner build an understanding of the fire safety management at work and the specific roles and responsibilities related to fire safety in the workplace.  The qualification is designed for anyone who has a specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace including fire wardens and fire marshals.  It would also increase the fire awareness of other employees.

Assessment for this QA Level 2 Award is a 30 multiple choice question written assessment combined with formative assessment throughout the course by the trainer.

Pass mark is 20 out of 30 correctly answered questions.

On successful completion of this course the learner will be qualified to:

  • Operate within the legal boundaries with regard to fire safety.
  • Roles and Responsibilities including fire wardens and fire marshals.
  • How fires are caused.
  • Preventing and controlling fire risks.

  • Fire safety inspections and management systems.
