Food Safety (E-Learning)

Course  Aims

The aim of this E-Learning course is to ensure that the learner had the knowledge and understanding to be able to prevent food poisining from occuring.

Learners are to undertake an online assessment.

Course  Content

The candidate will be able to:

  • Explain how good food hygiene contributes to food safety.
  • Show an understanding of how micro-organisms cause illness through contamination.
  • Recognise the importance of personal hygiene and good hygiene practices.
  • Show knowledge of current legal obligations and the consequence of non-compliance.
  • Explain what hazards are, and how they are controlled and monitored.
