The aim of this course is to give learners the essential knowledge and skills required to prepare healthier food and cater for people with special diets.
This course is aimed at anyone in the food industry who is required to meet the needs of people who have special diary needs and those who would like to offer a healthier range of food. The CIEH has launched the CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets, an accredited nutrition qualification in light of increased public interest in this area. Consumers have become increasingly aware of the effects of a poor diet and businesses are keen to understand the links between diet and health to meet changing customer demands.
Assessment is by written examination.
