Twynham Training provides mandatory short course training for managers, supervisors and employees in social care, catering and the hospitality industry.

Our courses cover the five main subject areas of social health care, food safety, health & safety, first aid and a number of specialist courses that compliment the social care sector.

We specialise in short course training conducted in our clients’ premises or at a venue supplied by us as agreed with the client. We can deliver accredited or non accredited training which compiles with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Association of First Aiders (AoFA) requirements.

As associate members of several organisations and awarding bodies Twynham Training ensures that its courses are fully updated, are compliant with current legislation and include the latest techniques approved as best practice.

Our trainers are experienced and have a teaching qualification to a minimum of City and Guilds 7303 (PTLLS). The quality of our instructors and the training they deliver is fundamental to our ethos of supplying high quality training to produce the best staff.

Our trainers are highly qualified and experienced within their respective fields of expertise. This includes:

  • Trainers with extensive catering management experience in micro biology to teach and qualify food safety at all levels
  • Trainers with health and safety management experience expert in occupational health and risk management
  • Trainers with nursing and specialist care qualifications that have experience in mental health, general medical and elderly care settings
  • A number of our trainers also have more specialist qualifications such as fire risk assessment, control and restraint techniques, autism spectrum disorders and cognitive behavior therapy.

We are in partnership with a number of important clients and deliver a three day Common Induction Standards course to brain injury support workers.

The three day course complies with the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards as required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and provides the support worker with the induction competency required to work within social care.
